Getting Started with Saneema

Saneema can be access directly through a web browser or with dedicated apps on mobile phones, tablets, personal computers and smart TVs.

Web Browsers

Note that, 4K media playback is not supported on web browsers.

  • Navigate to watch.saneema.in in your browser of choice
  • Login with the credentials provided by the Administrator

Android

  • Install one of the following apps:
  • After installation, open the app and select Add Server
  • Next, in the Server Address field, type https://watch.saneema.in and tap Connect
  • Finally, login with the credentials provided by the Administrator

iOS: iPhone & iPad

  • Install one of the following apps:
  • After installation, open the app and tap on Connect
  • If you see the following or a similar pop-up - "Swiftfin" would like to find and connect to devices on your local network, tap Allow. This access is required in order to cast media from your device to cast-enabled devices such as Smart TVs
  • Next, under Connect to a Jellyfin server, type https://watch.saneema.in and tap Connect
  • Finally, login with the credentials provided by the Administrator

Desktop: Windows, macOS, Linux

  • Navigate to the Jellyfin Media Player - GitHub Releases Page
  • From the latest version (tagged as Latest) section, under the Assets drop-down, download and install the app as per the following asset names:
    • Windows: ending in -windows-x64.exe (for example, JellyfinMediaPlayer-1.9.1-windows-x64.exe)
    • macOS: ending in macos-notarized.dmg (for example, JellyfinMediaPlayer-1.9.1-macos-notarized.dmg)
    • Linux:
  • After installation, open the app and select Add Server
  • Next, in the Server Address field, type https://watch.saneema.in and tap Connect
  • Finally, login with the credentials provided by the Administrator

Android TV, Apple TV, Fire TV & LG TV


As Saneema is hosted on a Jellyfin Media System instance, you can use any of the compatible media clients listed here in addition to those mentioned above: Clients
